Australian Readers’ Challenge Prize Draw – AUD$200 book voucher
The Australian Readers' Challenge is a nationwide initiative of the Australian
book industry in partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation and Ian Thorpe's
Fountain for youth trust.
Method of Entry

Entry is open to registered participants of the Australian Readers’ Challenge
(ARC).

Employees of the promoters of ARC and their immediate families are not
permitted to enter.

By registering for ARC, entrants will be deemed to agree with these terms of
entry.

To enter, go to http://www.readerschallenge.com.au/ or visit any designated
bookseller identified on that website, register for ARC and pay AUD$5.00. Entry
into the prize draw is on the basis of one free entry per paid registration.

All proceeds from registration fees will benefit the Indigenous program work of
The Fred Hollows Foundation (ACN 070 556 642, Locked Bag 3100 Burwood NSW
1805).

No responsibility will be taken for any lost or misdirected entries. All
entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and
NOT at the time of registration by the entrant. Prize

The prize is not transferable or refundable and non-redeemable for cash.

The first valid entry drawn will win an AUD$200 book prize. The prize voucher
will be delivered by courier to the winning entrant’s address.

The prize is valued at AUD$200. The prize value is in Australian dollars, is
inclusive of GST and is correct at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts
no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. The prize cannot
be transferred or exchanged. Non cash prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.

The Promoter will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury that
results directly or indirectly from the winner taking part in any aspect of the
Prize. Promotional Period and Winner Notification

The competition runs from Wednesday 1 March 2006 until midnight (AEDST) Friday
1 September 2006. The draw for the prize will take place at 4 Mitchell Street
Enfield NSW 2136 on Monday 18 September 2006 at 4:00pm (AEDST). The winner will
be notified by mail and have their name, school (if relevant), suburb and
state/country published on www.readerschallenge.com.au on Friday 22 September
2006. General Conditions

The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise
from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.

The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of
any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or suppliers,
computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the
Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or
damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting
from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion.

The prize is provided “as is” and the Promoter will not be responsible for the
prize. If, for any reason whatsoever, the prize winner does not take an element
of the prize at the time stipulated, then that element of the prize will be
forfeited by the prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that
element of the prize.

If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned including
infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud,
technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which
corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness integrity or proper
conduct of this promotion, then (subject to any written directions given by the
various lottery departments) the Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or
suspend the promotion.

The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any
individual who tampers with the entry process.

Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's
responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. Any
contact details entered incorrectly on the website shall be deemed invalid.

The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the
promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not
participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise
advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information,
in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without
any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including
sending the entrant electronic messages. All personal details of the entrants
will be stored at the office of the Promoter. Entrants' personal information
may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners' names
published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. As per the
relevant Privacy Legislation, a request to access, update or correct any
information should be directed to that office.
